bigarrow puts AI agent guidance on the screen
bigarrow is a macOS command-line tool with skills for Claude Code and Codex. When an AI agent reaches a step the user must perform, such as clicking Allow or choosing the right tab, it can draw a prominent arrow, box, and instruction over the target window instead of leaving a message in an unattended terminal.
How bigarrow connects agents with human confirmation
The tool uses a transparent always-on-top window whose overlay does not intercept clicks. Agents can target an accessibility element, window, coordinate, or mouse position, and annotations can disappear automatically. Commands also support time limits, explicit stopping, JSON output, copyable text, and speech. The design fits permission prompts, two-factor authentication, CAPTCHAs, payment confirmations, tutorials, and remote assistance.
bigarrow’s limits are part of its design
bigarrow deliberately only points: it does not click, type, or capture the screen, so it cannot complete a human-authorized workflow on its own. That boundary limits accidental agent actions and preserves user control over sensitive steps, but the experience still depends on the user noticing and responding to the annotation. The project is a pure Swift binary under the MIT license; source builds require Xcode 16 or later and macOS 14 or later.
